Detroit Community Liaison

The National Community Development Institute has three immediate openings in support of the Skillman Foundation's Good Neighborhoods Initiative: one for Cody/Rouge, one for Central and one for Southwest.

The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of experience serving as:

1) A community builder--developing and maintaining good relationships across the community (with residents, schools, nonprofits, businesses, faith-based, etc.)

2) A community connector--recruiting, marketing and communicating with individuals and organizations to support community initiatives

3) A community organizer--conducting extensive outreach to achieve good attendance at key community meetings

4) A community resource--receiving and sharing historical and current information important to all key stakeholders

Experience living and/or working within the designated community is highly preferred.
