President and CEO
Kelley D. Gulley is the President & CEO of the National
Community Development Institute (NCDI) which is headquartered
in Oakland, California with offices in Indianapolis, Indiana
and Detroit, Michigan and which is implementing major
community change initiatives in Benton Harbor, Michigan
and across the Southern Region of the United States.
Formerly Executive Vice President of NCDI, Ms. Gulley
is the immediate past President of the Indianapolis Private
Industry Council, a $19 Million non-profit quasi-governmental
organization, where she spent five successful years heavily
impacting the workforce development arena in the City
of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana. Previous positions
include Midwest Regional Director for NCDI, Special Projects
Administrator for Eastern Star Church and Vice President
for Management and Program Services at the Community Development
Institute (CDI) in East Palo Alto, California.
Mrs. Gulley has served on several boards/committees including
the United Way of Central Indiana Board of Directors,
the United Way Committee on Diversity (Chair), the Indianapolis
Urban League Board of Directors and the LISC Local Advisory
Committee.
Ms.Gulley has a plethora of experience in management,
policy development and administration, training and facilitation
and writing and editing. She is a master at community
convening, promoting collaborative partnerships, visioning,
long-range planning and creating resource development
opportunities. She earned her Masters of Business Administration
with a focus on Business Management from the University
of Phoenix in Northern California and holds a Bachelor
of Science in Pre-Med/Zoology from Ohio University in
Athens, Ohio.
Ms. Gulley is married to her high school sweetheart,
has two children and currently lives in Oakland, California.
